Train Alberta Referral Program Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
- Referring student: All students currently enrolled in or graduates of any of Train Alberta's Early Learning and Childcare Programs are eligible to participate in the Referral Program.
- Referred student: Referred students must be new students who have never previously applied or enrolled in any program at Train Alberta. Referred students must meet eligibility requirements of program (Certificate and Diploma).
- March 13, 2025 note: Accepted referrals include:
- Students who refer current Level 2 holders to the Diploma program are eligible for referral incentives, the current referral payment is $250 per Diploma student
- Students who refer current Level 1 holders to the Certificate program are eligible for referral incentives, the current referral payment is $200 per Certificate student.
2. Referral Process
Referral Submission: Referring students must provide their custom referral link or referral code to the referred student. Referring students may request a referral link or code at any time. To start a referral, see the following methods:
Referral link: The referred student will complete the form accessed through the referral link, this form will create a referral associating the referring and referred students.
Referral code: The referred student prior to their acceptance into the Early Learning and Childcare Program. The admissions specialist will create a referral and associate the referring and referred students.
Application and Enrollment: The referred student must meet the requirements for the program, apply, and be accepted into one of Train Alberta's eligible Early Learning and Childcare Programs (see January 1, 2025, note).
Completion of Courses: The referred student must successfully complete three (3) different courses within the program.
Retake courses do not count as a different course.
Settled Accounts: The referred student must have settled all outstanding invoices or received a student aid approval notice prior to referral payment processing.
Payment Processing: Once the referred student has successfully completed three courses, the referring student will receive the referral payment. Payments will be processed and distributed via e-transfer or cheque within six (6) weeks of completion of courses.
3. Terms and Conditions
Limit on Referrals: There is no limit on the number of students a current student can refer.
Ineligible Referrals: Referrals are not valid for existing Train Alberta students, Train Alberta employees, or childcare facilities.
Program Withdrawal: If the referred student withdraws from the program before completing three (3) courses, the referring student will not receive the referral payment.
Fraudulent Activity: Any fraudulent activity, such as self-referral or providing false information, will result in disqualification from the program and may result in disciplinary action.
Program Changes: Train Alberta reserves the right to modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time without prior notice.
4. Communication
Program Promotion: Information about the Referral Program will be communicated to students through various channels, including Train Alberta email campaigns, Train Alberta Moodle site, and though Train Alberta instructor announcements.
Referral Status: Referring students can track the status of their referrals by contacting info@trainalberta.com. Train Alberta abides by the FOIP Act and protects student personal information, Train Alberta only discloses that a referral is Not Eligible, Pending, or Complete.
