Alberta Onsite


Alberta Onsite is a Medicine Hat and area employment service delivered by Train Alberta Inc. under contract with the Government of Alberta. Building stronger communities by helping youth (18-30 Years) overcome barriers, gain skills, and step confidently into construction careers—while connecting employers to job-ready talent with built-in HR support


In Partnership with Terra Train Ltd., who will provide a 6 Week Work Simulation in Heavy Equipment to participants of the program.

Participants build the skills, confidence, and certifications needed to succeed in Alberta’s construction workforce. Through hands-on training, personalized supports, and real-world experience, the program meets youth where they are—helping them overcome barriers and move confidently into meaningful careers, while supporting employers with job-ready talent.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the Alberta Onsite program, 

applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age & Location

  • 18 to 30 years old
  • Reside in Medicine Hat or the surrounding area.

Employment Status

  • Currently unemployed or underemployed 

Interest in Construction

  • Demonstrate a commitment to gaining employment in the construction or ancillary industries. 

Commitment to Program

  • Willing to Participate in programming from 10 to 26 weeks of training

Capacity for Full Participation

  • Able to attend in-person and/or online sessions as scheduled. 
  • Willingness to reduce barriers to employment

Assessment Approval

  • Successfully complete an intake assessment, including the Employment Readiness Assessment, HOPE Inventory & more.
